Conservation Commission Meeting
July 20, 2017
The meeting of the Conservation Commission was called to order by John Bozak at the Martha Sawyer Library at 6:30 p.m. Those in attendance were: George Main, Ruth Gutman, Don Leuchs, Ed Cheever, John, and Sandy Hutchinson.
CC members will be presenting a program on invasive plants on Monday, July 24th for Lebanon Day Camp from 9:30 till 11:30 at the Lebanon Elementary School.
The Lebanon 250th Anniversary Celebration was a huge success and thoughts that this could lead to an annual event were discussed.
There has been no further news regarding Hebo Hybo road access.
The Naiad eradication program is moving forward with planned spraying.
Open Farm Day is July 23.
There was discussion about proposing the Hebo Hybp property be designated as a Town Forest, perhaps by referendum. Guest speakers who could speak to this subject were suggested: Julie Evans and/or Owen Grumbling. Ruth and Don will follow up.
