Conservation Commission Meeting

February 25, 2016

            The meeting of the Conservation Commission was called to order by John Bozak at the Martha Sawyer Library at 7:00 p.m. Those in attendance were: John, Ruth Gutman, George Main, Ed Cheever (who became a member in December) and Sandy Hutchinson.

            John and Sandy’s memberships are due to be renewed in March.

            We received a request from Dorothy Wilson (from the Lebanon Truth Seekers) to participate in Lebanon Clean-up Day by hosting a barbeque at the Gully Oven.  We agreed that the site would not be appropriate for this purpose due to the number of people expected to participate. Ruth said she would get back to her.

            The issue of developing a Town Forest was discussed, and in light of that, John will ask Lee Burnett to attend our next meeting to help us develop a plan.

            The Lebanon Festival is scheduled for Aug. 20th.

            It was agreed to change our meeting time to 6:30 p.m.

            Our next meeting is March 31st.
