Dog Licensing Information

You may license your dog during regular office hours or through the mail. Be sure to send a current rabies certificate and if it is a first time license send a certificate of neutering if the dog has been neutered or spayed. Checks should be made payable to the Town of Lebanon, send your request to the attention of the Town Clerk.

 

A dog may not be kept within the limits of the State, unless its owner or keeper in accordance with the laws of this State has licensed the dog.

Dogs must be licensed at 6 months of age and renewed every year by January 1st. A current Maine State Rabies Certificate and a certificate of Neutering (if the dog has been neutered or spayed) must be presented when licensing a dog. Beggining February 1st there is a $25.00 late fee applied to all dog licenses. A dog must be licensed within 10 days of being new to a family, provided they are 6 months or older.

Kennel (10 dogs) $42.00
(Kennel means one pack or collection of dogs kept in a single location under one ownership for the purposes of breeding, hunting, show, training, field trials and exhibition purposes.)
