The Lebanon Board of Selectmen held their meeting on Tuesday, September 7th, 2010 at the Lebanon Municipal Building.
Selectmen present: Chairman Jason Cole, Selectman Robert Frizzell. Selectman Ronal Patch was absent with notice due to a family commitment.
Others present: Road Commissioner Larry Torno, State Representative Candidate Pamela Gerry
Chairman Jason Cole made a motion to open the meeting at 6:30pm. Selectman Frizzell seconded.
The first item on tonight's agenda was to open the winter sand bids. The bids had been advertised for over 2 weeks, advertised on the town website, the town facebook page, Maine Municipal Associations request for bids, in the newspaper and in the community.
Two bids were received:
- Bid 1: William A. Renaud Jr Trucking of South Berwick - Bid was for $7.40 per yard screened sand delivered.
- Bid 2: Landscapers Depot of Kingston, NH - Bid was for $5.49 per yard delivered or $4.00 per yard FOB from Acton, Maine.
The road commissioner will be conducting a gradation test with the owner of Bid 2 before awarding the bid. The bid will be awarded on Tuesday, September 21st, 2010 at 6:30pm.
The next item was public participation.
Ms. Pamela Gerry came to the selectmen's meeting to meet residents and town officials. Ms. Gerry is from Springvale, Maine and is the Independent party candidate for State Representative for District 144. Ms. Gerry asked a lot of questions about the town and shared why she is interested in serving our community in Augusta.
There was no additional public participation. Chairman Cole made a motion to adjourn at 7:02pm and Selectman Frizzell seconded. Both selectmen voted in favor of adjourning.
